Our journey to bring our son home has been one of laughter, tears, prayer, excitement, and longing. We are so close to the end that we can feel our baby in our arms. We started this crazy, wonderful process at the beginning of October 06 and learned about our sweet baby at the beginning of November. From then on he was our son and we have prayed and hoped all things for him. God has taken us through many emotions and trials over these past 9 months with many of you joining us on the rollercoaster. I’ve been elated and desperate, but always hopeful. Always having the HOPE that Christ and His sacrifice has given me. I pray that each of you has that same HOPE and same confidence. Lucas just turned 8 months old and has such a place in our hearts and our home. We are just longing for the day (very soon) that we get to bring him to his home here in South Carolina. Thanks for checking on our journey and for praying and believing right along with us! We’ll keep you posted as we know things in these last few weeks before he comes home. Tim and Janet, I will be praying for you and your finances. Just a little testimony about God and babies–Lee and I were in the same boat about fertility treatments. The scary part was that there wasn’t even a baby at the other end, just God’s promise that he would provide. We struggled with the decision, because we did not want to put our family in financial peril, but felt Him leading us in this direction. Through God we ended up paying all of our medical expenses–all $18,000 of them! We even received a partial refund from the OB/Gyn after Grayson’s delivery because we had overpayed him!! God is good!!
What a beautiful boy! Love the site too! He’s going to have a HUGE family by the time he comes home. All of RC will be celebrating!

That is not to say we have not thought of your precious family constantly since. There is something in everyday to make us think of our dear friends. We thank God for you and your witness
We thank God for a ’speedy uniting of The Holmes Family’ ! He is on His throne…Looking out for you, (Lucas included) and Loving you, (all of you). I know you already know that. I know also that it helps ‘knowing’ others are standing in agreement with you. We Are!
When my heart was breaking for Gabi because I couldn’t ‘tell’ her ‘WHY’ I was ‘holding her down for doctors and nurses to stick her’ or explain ‘WHY she was in pain’ or ‘That I wished it was me instead of her’, The Holy Spirit reminded me that even though she could not understand my words, she ‘could’ understand His! He told me that as quickly as I asked, the Holy Spirit in me was the same Holy Spirit caring for my baby. Her spirit does not have to suffer confusion or abandonment, because The Father speaks the truth to her spirit the very instant I ask. Lucas may not be capable of saying “My family loves me; they cheerish me; and long to hold me in their arms,” BUT! In his Spirit, he knows!
Lucas is not in your arms YET, but the same Father that holds his family, holds Lucas in His loving arms. Lucas is covered in Bright Red Perfect Love!
