Today is Lucas’ 8 month birthday! Thankfully this will be his last milestone without us. I can’t believe that it was a month ago that I held him on his 7 month birthday. How a month flies. I’ll let you know more about his status as I know it. Love and prayers, Janet
Lucas’ birth certificate will be picked up tomorrow June 25, 2007
Just wanted you to know that Lucas’ birth certificate is to be picked up tomorrow and the attorney should get his passport tomorrow too. The ‘plan’ is then for all our documents to be turned in Wednesday to the Embassy so that they can issue our appointment date/travel date! We are SO CLOSE to bringing our son home!!!! We are beyond thrilled and can’t wait to get him home and settled in. Please continue to pray that the birth certificate is ready, that all documents are turned in on Wednesday and that the Embassy issues us an appointment that is at the very beginning of July. (sooner rather than later 
) Thanks for checking on us and praying for Lucas to come home. We are excited and praise God for all that He has done.

We were hoping that we would get back Lucas’ birth certificate with our last name this week, but got news that it was only started this week. We are still so thankful that we are out of PGN and that we are in the very last steps before we bring him home forever. I must admit that I am getting quite anxious as I can see my school starting very soon. I want as much time with Lucas as I can, but know that it will all work out for GOOD!! Please pray with us that we get his birth certificate back in only a couple days and that our appointment at the US Embassy would not be too far off. We just can’t wait to get this little one home and in our arms! The girls are getting so excited to go down and see Guatemala, not to mention meeting their brother! Even Kennedy must feel the excitement as she asks to see Lucas’ pictures much more often these days!! Please continue to pray with us and for us as I know our sweet meeting is just around the corner!! We so appreciate all of you checking on us and loving us! We believe that God is blessing you as you have blessed us!

Got the call today!!! June 15, 2007
We are praising our Lord today as we got the phone call from our agency that said that Lucas was legally our son!! That means that we are out of that final review phase, PGN! We are so thrilled and excited that we are finished with this and in 3-4 weeks we will go and GET OUR SON and bring him home to Spartanburg! Thank you so much for praying for us and with us. We still need your prayers. Lucas’ new birth certificate was applied for today, which could take up to 8 days and then they get his passport the same day the birth certificate is issued, then all the paperwork goes to the US Embassy for our appointment date. We will have about 10 days from when our date is issued to the time we travel to pick Lucas up!! Please pray that this goes very quickly and that we are all amazed at what God is working out and when we will travel. I know that our Lord can move mountains and he certainly has moved our case along and can move us through this last phase quickly!! Join us in prayer for Lucas to come home in record time and give God the glory for all that He has done! We certainly are!!! I can’t wait for you all to meet him. What a sweet child he is. Thanks for checking on us and bearing the burden with us. I know God will reward you all for the time you’ve spent in prayer with us and for us!!
